Admitted to the hospital in critical condition, Jessica Falkholt fought for three weeks but ultimately succumbed to her injuries. Her sister passed away after three days in the hospital.
“Our family requests privacy during this difficult time,” Jessica Falkholt’s family said in a statement.
Australian police continue to investigate the crash. Last week, hundreds of people attended the funeral of Jessica Falkholt’s parents and sister.
