Next week on Coronation Street, Bethany’s big new storyline begins as she fights for her life in a Turkish hospital.
Elsewhere, Joel continues to pose a threat to the residents, and tempers reach boiling point when Mason is released.

1. Daniel receives a worrying phone call
Daniel receives a phone call from Turkey, where Bethany is visiting to write an advertorial about a cosmetic surgery clinic.
Shortly afterwards, Daniel informs Sarah that Bethany is in intensive care as she underwent a procedure herself, which has gone badly wrong. He insists that they both need to go to Turkey immediately to support Bethany.
2. Bethany receives life-changing news
When Daniel and Sarah arrive in Turkey, they’re told that Bethany’s infection is very serious. They also learn that there are problems with Bethany’s travel insurance, so she won’t be able to leave the country until her medical bills are paid in full.
Later, Bethany regains consciousness and Sarah breaks the news that she’ll have to use a stoma bag for the rest of her life.
3. Bethany’s condition gets worse
Daniel takes some inspiration from Daisy and comes up with a plan to set up a crowdfunding page to help with Bethany’s £25,000 medical fees.
Sarah worries when she spots Bethany’s condition start to deteriorate in her hospital bed, as she’s clearly struggling to breathe.
4. Joel tries to win Dee-Dee back
Joel approaches Dee-Dee in the street, showing her their wedding rings. He laments that the rings are a painful reminder of their broken relationship.
Dee-Dee rejects Joel’s desperate attempts to win her back, but he refuses to stop hassling her. Ed and Ronnie end up stepping in, but will they take the law into their own hands?
5. Lauren receives a mysterious payment
Lauren continues to monitor Joel’s movements via the tracking app. She’s baffled as she explains to Dee-Dee that Joel has been spending time in a field and an industrial park.
The mystery deepens when Lauren spots that Joel has transferred £5,000 into her bank account with no explanation. Is this a sign of guilt, or another attempt to trap her?
6. Lauren breaks down in front of Roy
Roy checks up on Lauren at the hospital, keen to see how she and Frankie are doing.
Lauren breaks down in tears, explaining that Frankie is having a scan to check for brain damage following his latest health scare.
7. Joel pays a sinister visit to Roy
On the day that he was supposed to be marrying Dee-Dee, Joel sits alone in his flat and writes a letter.
Later, the scheming solicitor arrives at the café clutching a bottle of whisky and locks the door behind him. Spotting Joel’s drunken state, Roy fears the villain’s next move.
8. Dylan exposes the truth about Betsy
Dylan urges Betsy to tell the police the truth about how she planted a customer’s purse in Mason’s jacket at Speed Daal, which led to him being sent back to Young Offenders.
When Betsy refuses, Dylan tells Sean what’s been going on.
9. Mason returns again
Tensions flare up as Mason returns to the cobbles and faces off against Betsy, Dylan and Liam. Gary arrives on the scene after being tipped off by Liam, but he risks making matters worse by grabbing Mason and pinning him against the wall.
Stu is next to get involved as he pulls Gary off from Mason. Feeling terrible about the Speed Daal incident, Stu apologises for not believing Mason and offers him his job back.
10. Mason continues to suffer in silence
When Mason turns up for a shift at Speed Daal, he’s sporting a black eye. Stu and Yasmeen aren’t sure what to believe when Mason claims that he was hurt in an accident.
Gary and Maria also have their say, opposing Stu and Yasmeen’s decision to re-hire Mason in the first place.
Later, Mason sneaks into the restaurant after hours with his sleeping bag, as he clearly has nowhere else to stay.
11. Paul’s loved ones plan a unique send-off
Billy and Bernie continue to clash over the plans for Paul’s funeral. In the end, Gemma suggests to Bernie that they should let Billy do the main service his way and throw their own separate memorial event.
The Winter-Browns come up with a plan to organise a rave and they hope Kit can pull some strings by getting the street closed for the night.
Meanwhile, Billy is upset when he finds out that Paul’s funeral will take place on what would have been their first wedding anniversary.
12. Tyrone and Fiz receive concerning news
Tyrone and Fiz head to the Bistro for a daytime date to celebrate Fiz’s 40th birthday.
The couple are interrupted by a text from the school, alerting them to Hope’s new secret vaping habit.
13. Hope resorts to stealing
Hope ignores Tyrone and Fiz’s warnings over the harmful effects of vaping. She goes ahead and steals a new batch of vapes from the corner shop.
On her way out, Hope accidentally knocks vapes off the shelf, which attracts Aadi’s attention. Will she be caught out for the second time in a week?
